Every day at midnight, one Spider Solitaire deal is chosen — the same 104 cards, in the same order, for every player in the world. Solve it and the day is yours. Fail, and you have until midnight to try again, because tomorrow the table changes and today's deal is gone for good.
That single shared deal changes the character of the game. Ordinary solitaire is you against the shuffle; the daily challenge is everyone against the same shuffle. A hard day is hard for everyone, a lost day was lost by thousands of players at once, and a win means something specific: you beat this deal, not a lucky one.

Why one deal a day works
Endless free deals are solitaire's great luxury and its quiet flaw: when a fresh shuffle is one click away, no single game has to matter. The daily challenge restores the stakes. With one deal and one day, you slow down, you plan before you move, and you reach for the habits that the strategy guide preaches — reveal face-down cards, protect an empty column, tidy the table before every stock deal.
It is also the fairest possible measure of progress. Your regular win rate mixes easy deals and impossible ones, so it drifts with luck. The daily removes that noise entirely — same cards, every player — leaving a clean question: did you find the line, or didn't you?
How the daily challenge works
- One deal per day. A curated 2-suit Spider deal appears at midnight, local time. It is verified winnable — a solution always exists, even on the toughest days.
- Same cards for everyone. The deal comes from a shared daily seed, so every player faces an identical table. Compare notes with a friend; you played the same game.
- Unlimited attempts until midnight. Lose, and you can restart the same deal as many times as the day allows. Undo works exactly as it does in the standard rules.
- The calendar keeps score. Each solved day earns its checkmark, and a full month is the quiet badge of honor the daily is really about.
If 2 suits is above or below your comfort line, the daily is also a nudge to train. The 1-suit game builds the rhythm, and the 4-suit game waits for the day the daily starts feeling easy.

What time does the daily challenge reset?
A new deal arrives at midnight in your local time zone, every day of the year. Yesterday’s deal retires when the new one appears — the daily challenge is about everyone facing the same table on the same day.
Is the deal really the same for everyone?
Yes. Each day’s challenge is generated from a single seed shared by every player, so the 104 cards land in exactly the same places on every screen. When you win, you beat the identical deal everyone else is wrestling with — no easier shuffle, no harder one.
How difficult are the daily deals?
Daily deals are curated 2-suit Spider — hard enough to demand real decisions, fair enough that a solution always exists. Expect most days to sit around the difficulty of a thoughtful everyday game, with a noticeably tougher deal reserved for weekends.
What happens if I miss a day?
Nothing is lost except the checkmark. Daily results will feed the same local statistics as your regular games — see the statistics page — and a missed day simply stays blank on the calendar. There is no penalty and no pressure beyond the streak you choose to care about.
